are you game?

Playwright Arthur Miller - Pulitzer prize-winning author of Death of a Salesman - has died aged 89 after a battle against cancer.

I SAW ANOTHER AWESOME MOVIE.....

Today I saw the French language film Love Me If You Dare (Mieux que la vie) by visionary director Yann Samuell. It's one of my new favorite foreign films now. Anyone who has interest in motion graphics and cinema (and using them together in a beautiful way) should check this out.

I also finally saw the film Open Water which I really enjoyed for what it was, though it was nail biting terrifying for me (someone who grew up in and on the water in Hawaii).

I also watched the comedy Without A Paddle, which was fun though no great cinematic accomplishment.

The other logo..

Tonight I've just been listening to KRock primarily, since they have the all 90s music night. Great stuff like Fugazi, The Cure, Harvey Danger, REM, Jesus Jones, Nirvana, etc.. The greatest tracks from my highschool and college days! The DJ is annoying, but the music takes me back.

Below are a few new logo designs which are opposite from my original logo idea (in different ways):

This one is the most (shockingly) different and unlike me, and I shall never touch again:

In my original logo design, the concept was innovation, literally rising upward, detailed, and somewhat romantic (in the classic sense). So the following logo is much less detailed, ancient, literally sinking (not rising), among other things:

And here is a slightly different version of the above:

Superbowl Commercials...

Ok whats the deal? Every year the Superbowl commercials get lamer and lamer... So far the only ones I have seen that made me laugh are the Ford truck commercial "bikers vs. truckers", the Ford Mustang convertible teaser with the frozen driver, the Diet Pepsi commercial with P Diddy, and the Ameriquest "You're being robbed" commercial.

The whole event has been kinda dull. Not a very exciting game and with the exception of Paul McCartney's music being great, it was quite the dull halftime show. The pregame show blew it away as far as energy and fun... Oh well..
